Single Product Templates in the Alpha ecommerce theme let you design and control how individual product pages appear in your WooCommerce store. By using Kadence Shop Kit and Kadence Blocks Pro, you can create layouts that reflect your branding, emphasize key product features, and provide a consistent and professional shopping experience without editing any PHP code.
Understanding Single Product Templates
Within a Kadence-powered WooCommerce store, Single Product Templates define the structure and layout of individual product pages. They are created and managed in your WordPress dashboard under Products > Woo Templates. You can build these templates with Kadence Blocks, WooCommerce blocks, and dynamic elements, including integration with Secure Custom Fields (SCF) for product-specific content.
Where They Apply
You can assign a template to all products, specific categories, or individual products using the template’s display conditions. This flexibility ensures that each product page can have a unique presentation if needed, or share a consistent design across your store.
Main Features
- Create and manage single product templates directly in WordPress without touching PHP files.
- Use Kadence Blocks Pro for custom layouts and dynamic content placement.
- Integrate SCF fields to display product-specific information like warranty, materials, or dimensions.

Step-by-Step: Creating a Single Product Template

- Under Template Settings > Display Settings, select where the template should be applied (all products, specific categories, or individual products).
- Publish the template and preview your product pages to ensure the layout works as intended.
Note – Always test dynamic fields from SCF on a live product page before publishing the template to ensure all custom data displays correctly.
Why Single Product Templates Are Important
Using Single Product Templates in the Alpha ecommerce theme gives you full control over your product page design, enabling a consistent brand presentation and better user experience. It allows you to highlight key features, dynamically display product-specific data, and optimize your layout for conversions. By leveraging Kadence’s native tools, you reduce reliance on third-party builders and streamline your workflow while maintaining professional-looking pages across your store.
The Alpha Ecommerce Theme moves beyond the standard, rigid WooCommerce product layout. We utilize the power of Kadence ShopKit and Kadence Blocks Pro to build completely custom product pages using the WordPress Block Editor.
This means you can design layouts that reflect your branding, emphasize key product features, and provide a consistent shopping experience without editing any PHP code.
3 Pre-Designed Templates Included
To help you get started quickly, the Alpha Ecommerce Theme includes 3 pre-designed Single Product Templates ready for customization. You can choose the one that best fits your product type or use them as a base to create your own unique designs.
How to Access and Edit Templates
The layout for your products is controlled by a central template. To edit these designs:
- Navigate to Products > Woo Templates in your WordPress dashboard.
- Click Add New Woo Template to start fresh, or select one of the included Alpha templates to edit.
- Select Single Product as the template type if creating a new one.
Designing with Blocks and Dynamic Data
Once inside the editor, you build your product layout using blocks. The power lies in Dynamic Content.
Core Product Data
You will use special “Woo Template” blocks for the Product Title, Price, Excerpt, and Add-to-Cart button. These blocks automatically pull the correct data from whichever product the customer is viewing.
Secure Custom Fields (SCF) Integration
For more advanced product pages, you can integrate Secure Custom Fields (SCF). This allows you to display product-specific information—such as “Warranty,” “Materials,” or “Dimensions”—dynamically on the template. Simply use the Kadence “Dynamic Content” feature within your blocks to link to these custom fields.
Query Loops for Cross-Selling
You can also insert a Kadence Query Loop block into your product template. This is perfect for creating custom “Related Products” or “You Might Also Like” sections that dynamically display other items from the same category.
Assigning Templates
You can control exactly where each layout appears using the Display Settings:
- Inside the Template editor, click on the Template Settings icon (top right).
- Under Display Settings, you can define the logic:
- Select Product by – All: Sets a global design for the whole shop.
- Select Product by – Group: Assign a unique layout only to specific categories or tags (e.g., “Watches”).
- Select Product by – Individually: Target one or more specific products for a unique landing-page style layout.
Important: Test Before Launching
Note: When working with dynamic fields (SCF) or conditional logic, always test your new template on a live product page before publishing it globally. Check to ensure that all custom data fields display correctly and that the layout adapts well to products with different image sizes or description lengths.
